And I have not forgotten I am a photographer as well.

With all this messing about with drawing and painting it is hard, sometimes, to remember that I am photographer at heart.  With this in mind I have produced the first of series of images that tries to address the concept of Deep Time.  The plan is simple - spend the next 6 months trying capture the essence of the Charnwood forest geology, almost 600 millions old.   The rocks are volcanic formed in some ancient volcanic chain and then weathered by the passage of time.  Yet they endure all that is thrown at them.  You could almost describe the experience of standing next to them as organic if that wasn't such a contradiction in terms.
